Team South Africa secured their spot in the Women's T20 Cricket semi-finals at the 13th African Games in Accra on Sunday.

Team captain Nondumiso Shangase and allrounder Kayla Reyneke played a pivotal role in the semi-final against Uganda on 11 March. The South African team won that match convincingly by a margin of 50 runs. Prior to this semi-final, the SA women’s team had won all of their matches in the 2024 African Games, having played against Namibia, Tanzania and Nigeria.
After the African Games, the SA women’s team will host Sri Lanka in T20 matches from 27 March to 17 April at various grounds across the country (including Benoni, Potchefstroom, East London and Kimberley).
