Talk about relationship goals! In a heartwarming announcement that has left fans buzzing, South African actress Lorraine Moropa recently revealed that her partner, DJ and music producer Tyler ICU, popped the big question earlier this month. Spoiler alert: she said yes.
On Saturday, the actress, best known for her role as Olerato on The Queen, posted on Instagram to share the exciting news. With stunning pictures of the couple on a beach in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Lorraine proudly showed off her sparkling engagement ring.
The post was a heartfelt tribute to Tyler ICU (whose real name is Austin Kulani Baloyi) and their relationship. Moropa posted, “I said YES to a FOREVER with my best friend. I couldn’t be more grateful to God for this wonderful gift of love.”
For those who’ve been following their love story, this announcement comes as no surprise. The couple first went public about their relationship in July 2024 while enjoying a romantic getaway in Bali, Indonesia, and they have been giving us all the relationship goals since then.
Tyler ICU has built a strong fan base with his chart-topping music, especially for the hit track Mnike, which featured artists like DJ Maphorisa, Nandipha808, Ceeka RSA, and Tyron Dee.
Fans and fellow celebs alike couldn’t hold back their excitement, flooding the comment section of Lorraine’s post. Actress Angela Thando Sithole sent her love, saying, “Congratulations!!! May God bless this journey.” Meanwhile, Gogo Skhotheni, founder of The Venting Podcast, also joined in saying, “Babe, congratulations! May God bless your union.”
Radio personality Anele Mdoda said, “I love seeing you happy. It’s justice,” and public figure Refilwe Vanillablaq Modiselle added, “Congratulations, God cover you both in His divine protection.”
The couple enters the queue to join some of our other SA favourites who got married last year to their significant others, like singer Nianell, former Egoli star Dorette Potgieter, and our boy in green and gold Manie Libbok.
