The countdown to Beyoncé’s new album officially began yesterday when she released the cover. The album, Cowboy Carter is Act Two in what Beyoncé has described as a three-act project. Her 2022 album Renaissance is the first part.
She said that this isn’t going to be a country album. “This ain’t a country album,” the statement said. “This is a ‘Beyoncé’ album.” She highlighted that this album was born from an experience that did not make her feel welcome. “Because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive,” she said.

She has hinted that there were “a few surprises on the album” and that she has collaborated with respected artists. Is a Dolly Parton collab coming? We hope so!

Back home, Youtuber and Mommy Club reality star Nozipho Zulu has been trending on social media after a video showing her husband, Zola Ntshangase, lashing out at her and their children was leaked online. Speaking to News24, Zulu said she was saddened that the video had found its way out of their home. “My heart breaks. This, as you see, is not the proudest moment in our family; the children have been deeply affected by the new family changes; they were just asking to speak with the dad to get clarity, but none of that happened,” said Zulu.
In the video, the husband becomes noticeably irritated as he asks Nozipho for his car keys. This is despite pleas from their kids and their domestic worker, who even kneels in front of Ntshangase, begging him to calm down.
The video was released after he issued a statement addressing rumours that he had allegedly taken a second wife, Misokuhle Mzizi, which was done without Zulu’s knowledge and approval, as dictated by rules governing polygamy in certain cultures. “I wish to confirm the rumours circulating on social media as true. The Ntshangase family (kaKolisi), in accordance with our traditions and culture, has initiated lobola negotiations with the Mzizi family, and the process is still ongoing and heading towards finality.”
The couple has eight children together. The family has asked for privacy.
